Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO)
Generative engine optimisation (GEO) is the work of getting your content retrieved, summarised and recommended by generative engines like ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google’s AI Overviews. In practice the term is used almost interchangeably with AEO.
How SaaStorm approaches it
We don’t split AEO and GEO into separate retainers, because the levers are the same. Generative engines reward content that is easy to retrieve and safe to quote: clear definitions near the top, specific numbers, named entities, and claims that are backed up elsewhere on the web.
So our GEO work is mostly about information gain and corroboration. We rewrite key commercial pages so each section can stand alone as an answer, add original data the models can’t find elsewhere, and build mentions on the review sites, listicles and communities the engines already trust.
Rankings in the blue links remain the foundation. GEO decides whether you’re named when the click never happens.
Turn search visibility into pipeline
We help European SaaS teams build an organic engine across SEO, AEO and content, measured in qualified pipeline.
